Therapy is the art and practice of tending to the roots – turning over the soil of our lived experience, unearthing what lies beneath, and creating space for growth and renewal.
In my work as a Registered Psychotherapist (CRPO, ON) I draw on close to three decades of experience supporting individuals through transition, trauma, and transformation. My approach integrates evidence-based practices with a deep respect for inner wisdom — that quiet knowing that lives beneath the surface of words and stories.
“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” ~ Carl Rogers
Tending the Soil
Healing begins when we stop trying to fix the soil and instead learn to nourish what’s already alive within it.
I see therapy not as fixing what’s broken, but as listening for what’s wanting to emerge. Together, we slow down enough to notice the patterns, beliefs, and ways of being in the world that may have helped you survive, but now limit your ability to thrive.
Through curiosity and compassion, we begin to loosen those roots so that something more aligned, empowered, and alive can take hold.
My work is informed by a wisdom-focused lens — one that honours the intelligence of both the mind and the body, and the ways in which we can return to coherence when we listen inward. Using modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic inquiry, breathwork, and mindfulness, I help clients reconnect with the wholeness that is already within them.
Therapy, in this way, is less about digging through pain and more about cultivating self-trust.
It’s about remembering that you already carry the wisdom to heal — and that healing can happen gently, in the rhythm of your own readiness.
We keep tending the soil together: turning it, softening it, enriching it — so that the next season of your life can take root in ground that feels steady, alive, and fully yours.
